TheWorld_tw is born from the desire to explore the world, admire its beauty and discover the traditional handcrafted products from every country. Therefore, it pursues the beauty expressed in the natural wonders as well as in the handcrafts typical of a certain place. The place where this adventure begins is Egypt, known in arabic as Umm el Donya, «the mother of the world», magnificently rapresented by the three millenary pyramids standing in the district of Giza in Cairo. Today, five thousands years later, the world appears so much bigger than the world where the ancient Egyptians used to live in: more than two-hundreds states, seven-bilions people and yet the globalization with its action of international integration arising from the interchange of world views, products and ideas occurs to make it smaller and more interconnected.

The purpose of TheWorld_tw is to give a glimpse of the world by presenting a 360 degrees view of a collection of countries, starting from the creativity of the people and exalting the figure of the craftsman, who carrying his story of traditions, gives life to small local products, helping to define the nation's character in the eyes of the world. Its aim is to discover their creations and make them accessible to a wider audience on the thread of interconnection by offering a unique product with its own soul, history, tradition and provenience.

So TheWorld_tw intends to connect you directly to handcrafted goods collected from all over the world, created using only local materials, to support craftwork and reinvest in this field or other international cooperation projects. At the same time, its goal is to contextualize the products and to take a look at the country on a journey to discover and share beauty and knowledge. Looking for collaboration following a philosophy that is expressed in discovery, sharing, empowerment and above all in the beauty of the world and life that with its power can overcome ideological divisions, wars and economic difficulties. Beauty is the value shared by the various countries and peoples of the earth, the beauty of natural treasures, the beauty of creations that have arisen from years of history, experience, passion and craftsmanship.
